Asian Games India Medal Tally: India has five gold, five silver and eight bronze medals

Hangzhou: India’s Sift Kaur Samra won gold with a world record in Asian Games shooting. Sift topped the Shooting 50m Rifle 3 Position Individual category with 469.6 points. With this, Sift also surpassed the world record of 467 points set by British player Sionaid McIntosh in Baku last May. (Image: X)
Earlier in the same category Sift had won silver in the team event. Bronze for India’s Ashi Chowkse in the same event. China’s Tsang took the silver. This is Ashi’s second medal too. He was a member of the silver winning team earlier.
India won a total of four medals on the fourth day of shooting. Two gold, one silver and one bronze. India topped the women’s 25m pistol team event. The team consisting of Manu Bhakar, Isha Singh and Ritham Sangwan shot for gold. India won the gold with 1759 points. China won silver and South Korea won bronze. Manu scored 590 points in the qualifying round and Isha scored 586 points to qualify for the finals in the individual category.
Indian team won silver in women’s 50m rifle 3 positions. The team consisting of Sift Kaur Samra, Ashi Chowkse and Manini Kaushik came second. India won the medal with 1764 points. China won gold and South Korea won bronze.
India currently has 18 medals. India has five gold, five silver and eight bronze in its account.
