Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India wants to host the 2036 Olympics. He was inaugurating the 141st session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at Mumbai Geo World Centre.
India wants to host Olympics. Efforts have started for the 2036 Olympics venue. This is the dream of 140 crore Indians. With the support of the IOC, that dream must become a reality. It’s not just about winning medals. Sports competitions are also about winning hearts. It promotes peace while raising champions. India is also ready for the Youth Olympics in 2029, Modi said.

The Prime Minister praised the Indian cricket team for their victory over Pakistan in the ODI World Cup. Appreciation was expressed through his X page. Modi noted that today’s biggest victory in Ahmedabad was an all-round performance. He also wishes for the upcoming matches.

Meanwhile, India chased down the paltry target of 192 set by Pakistan in 30 overs in today’s match. Captain Rohit Sharma was the architect of India’s victory, hitting six sixes and six fours off 63 balls. Shreyas Iyer (53) who scored a half-century with a boundary off the last ball, also batted brilliantly to give India an easy win by seven wickets. Bumrah took two wickets conceding only 19 runs in seven overs. Shaheen Shah Afridi conceded 36 runs in six overs for Pakistan and took two wickets. Hasan Ali conceded 34 runs and took one wicket.
This is India’s eighth victory against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup. Earlier, Pakistan was crushed in batting in front of the enthusiastic Indian fans. At one point, captain Babar and vice-captain Rizwan continued to bat firmly as Pakistan lost seven wickets for just 36 runs and were bowled out for 191 runs. Babar (50), Rizwan (49) and Imam-ul-Haqoo (36) scored half-centuries. Bumrah, Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Jadeja took two wickets each.
