Quarterback Anthony Richardson was only able to participate at the beginning. The rookie left early in the second quarter due to a concussion; before that, Richardson had run for two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, two teams that had disappointed in the first round were able to celebrate their first win of the season. The defending champion Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 17:9. The Buffalo Bills had less trouble with the Las Vegas Raiders and won 38:10. In contrast to the opener, quarterback Josh Allen was flawless this time, throwing for 274 yards and three touchdowns.
