- There are already 8 thousand books delivered in the “Take, Read and Win” project
The representatives of Editorial “Tierra Nueva”, Patricia Morales Rengifo, Patrick Pareja Flores and Carlos Gonzáles Vásquez, gave the students of the Colegio “San José” in Indiana 212 copies of books to read and after a process of reading comprehension enter to the contest “Take, Lee and Win” which is in its second edition.
The director of the Indiana school, Tina Tanta Gil, thanked the representatives of the publishing house for taking this town into account and the young people from fourth and fifth Secondary who will be part of this project for the first time.
The young people received titles such as “Any past time was better” by Jaime Vásquez Valcárcel, “Pilgrim Sanctuary” by Percy Vilchez, “The Owl of Queen Garden Street” by Miguel Donayre Pinedo, “The Book of the Other Kingdom” and “The Earth con mal ”by Gerald Rodríguez and“ An infinite search ”by Jorge Coaguila.
Patrick Pareja Flores, project coordinator, assured that more than 8 thousand books by Amazonian authors have already been delivered, especially to students from schools in Manacamiri, Barrio Florido, Quistocoha, Requena, Nauta, Contamana and Iquitos. “In all schools the will of students and teachers has been contagious and motivates us to continue with the project of free delivery of books and participation in the contest,” said Pareja Flores.
ON MAY 2 THE PROJECT’S PROGRAM IS LAUNCHED
While Patricia Morales, president of Tierra Nueva, reported that from next Sunday, May 2 at 8 in the morning, the program “Toma, Lee y Gana” will begin to be broadcast through social networks and stations in various provinces of the Loreto region that will have the purpose of informing and giving details of this entire project that tries, among other things, to improve the reading comprehension of young students of school age.
