Indiana Jones Franchise Comes to Disney+ and a New Adventure Begins: A Look at the Films and Trailer for ‘Indiana Jones and the Call of Fate’

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

In this new adventure, Indy’s Nazi enemies kidnap his father, Professor Henry Jones Sr. (Sean Connery), in order to locate the sacred Holy Grail. Following the trail from America to Venice to the deserts of the Middle East, the protagonist will try to rescue his father (with whom he does not have a very good relationship) and save the Grail.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

Nearly two decades later, Harrison Ford reprises his role as Indiana Jones. This time, with somewhat rusty physical abilities but with his cunning intact, Indy finds himself involved in a plot by the Soviet Union to discover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.

The fifth film in the Lucasfilm franchise opens in theaters on June 29 and for the first time it will not be directed by Steven Spielberg nor will it feature a story created by George Lucas.
