BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana soccer team has suspended all team-related activities due to an increase in COVID-19 cases within the program. No decision was made for Saturday’s game against Purdue.

The team did not train on Tuesday morning and all level I players, coaches and staff were subjected to a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. The decision to take a break was made by the IU Athletics Medical Advisory Group.

“The health and safety of our students, coaches and staff is of the utmost importance,” said IU Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Dolson said. “In consultation with our medical experts, we have decided that this is the right decision at this point. We will continue to evaluate the situation in the future. “
