Deciding to revive his tennis dreams, Mahesh joined Bhupathi’s father and former Indian coach Krishna Bhupathi’s Tennis Village.

But Krishna Bhupathi told them that previous accidents and injury to his right leg would prevent him from playing tennis and he would not be able to become a professional player. Krishna Bhupathi himself advised Urmila that she can make a good career in sports management. Urmila later returned to Doha and completed her studies in business management.

He then worked at the Qatar Tennis Federation for three years. From there, Urmila went to Australia and worked with the Adelaide cricket team for three years.
