Indian Wells: Rafael Nadal dismisses Daniel Evans and aligns a 17th consecutive success in 2022

Rafael Nadal, 4th in the world, retained his patent of invincibility in 2022. Monday in the 3rd round of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 (hard / 8,584,055 dollars), the Spaniard dismissed in two sets – 7-5, 6-3 – the Briton Daniel Evans (ATP 29).

Led 2-4 in the first set, the Majorcan came back to 5-5 before taking Evans’ service and confirming in stride to take the lead (7-5). More solid in all compartments, he tightened the game even more in the 2nd set to escape 3-0 and conclude after 1h42 of play.

This is the 17th victory in a row in 2022 for Nadal after three titles in as many tournaments played, in Melbourne, the Australian Open, as well as in Acapulco.
