NEW DELHI, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) — The Indian spacecraft carrying the third moon mission has successfully conducted the planned orbit reduction maneuver, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said Sunday night.
The operation took place at around 11:00 pm local time on Sunday.
The next operation to lower the orbit is scheduled for August 9, according to the agency.
The spacecraft carrying the third lunar mission is expected to land on the lunar surface on August 23.
