New Delhi – Indian Navy again clashed with pirates in the Arabian Sea. The army is trying to free an Iranian fishing vessel seized by pirates. 9 armed pirates reportedly boarded the ship.
Two Indian ships deployed in the Arabian Sea for maritime security operations are involved in the rescue mission to free the Iranian ship. Officials said the ship’s crew were Pakistani nationals.
The warship INS Kolkata arrived at the Mumbai coast with 35 pirates captured from the Somali coast. The Indian Navy has deployed ships in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden for the security of seafarers and to monitor commercial trade.
