Srikesh Kumar, 45, was rushed to a private hospital in Moradabad, west of New Delhi, after a motorcycle accident. A doctor pronounced him dead after arriving at the hospital, after which he was transferred to the morgue of a public hospital. An autopsy should have taken place there on Friday.
According to the emergency doctor, the man showed no signs of life, according to the hospital director. The family arrived a few hours later. “When the police and the family arrived to handle the paperwork for the autopsy, he was found alive.” The man is still in a coma.
“This is nothing short of a miracle,” said the hospital director. In the meantime, an investigation into the misdiagnosis of the emergency doctor is underway.
