Indian cinema has never seen anything like my character in Tangalan: Malavika Mohanan
Malavika Mohanan is an actress who entered the film world with Dulquer Salmaan starrer Pattam Vole. Malavika was also a part of famous director Majid Majidi’s film Beyond the Clouds. Malavika managed to make her presence known in Tamil and Telugu within a short span of time.
Pa. Parvathy’s new movie Thangalan is directed by Ranjith. In Tangalan, set in the 18th century, Malavika appears as the village goddess Aarti. Malavika’s getup in the film was a big talk. Malavika said that she struggled a lot to make up the film.
Malavika said that she gets emotional when she talks about her role as Aarti. Malavika said that there is not much talk about this character now and the audience has to watch and understand. Malavika said, after watching the film, such a crazy character has never been seen before in Indian cinema. Malavika said this at the trailer launch held yesterday.
“I cannot talk about Aarti’s character without getting emotional. First of all I have to thank Ranjith for trusting me and giving me this role. Now I am not talking anything about Aarti. I want the audience to understand the character after watching the film.
I can say now, after watching Tangalan, that I have never seen such a crazy character in Indian cinema before. Tangalan is the most special film of my career. Tangalan is a movie made with so much fun. We are waiting to see the response of the audience,’ said Malvika Mohanan.
