Dubai: Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur is likely to be banned for misbehaving on the field and during the prize giving ceremony during the third match of the ODI series against the Bangladesh women’s team. Harmanpreet, who hit the wicket with the bat after getting out of the match, left the crease after strongly reacting against the umpire’s decision. The player also openly said that the umpiring was pathetic during the prize giving ceremony after the match. That’s why Harman’s reaction to call the umpires who helped you win the trophy while posing for a photo with the Bangladeshi players also led to controversy. In protest against this, Bangladesh captain Niger Sultana protested and left the ground with his team members, adding momentum to the controversy.

With this, Harman may receive four demerit points for violating the ICC code of conduct. It is reported that the player has committed a level 2 offense under the ICC Code of Conduct. A fine of 50 per cent may be levied for conduct including wicket-taking and 25 per cent for poor reaction during the prize-giving ceremony.
