India sends new humanitarian aid to Palestinians

The shipment contains 30 tons of medicines and food, Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed on his social networks.

The cargo includes a wide range of essential medicines and surgical supplies, dental products, general medical items and high-energy biscuits, the diplomat explained.

Last Friday, New Delhi sent medical supplies to Lebanon and hemodialysis equipment to Papua New Guinea.

11 tons of medicines were shipped to Beirut, the first batch of a 33-ton shipment.

The aid included pharmaceutical products such as cardiovascular medications, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics and anesthetics, among others, Jaiswal himself said.

The New Delhi government also made the first shipment to Papua New Guinea of 12 portable hemodialysis machines with reverse osmosis units.

According to the spokesperson for the Indian Foreign Ministry, this aid will strengthen the health system of that country.

The donation to Lebanon contributed to caring for the victims of the aggression that the Zionist government of Tel Aviv perpetrates against that country, which caused more than two thousand deaths and more than 11,000 injured.

India consistently maintains its support for the Palestinians, its opposition to the war and its support for resolving differences through diplomatic channels.

In an article published one year after Israel’s sustained genocide in the Palestinian territories, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unwra) noted that the Gaza Strip Gaza is an unrecognizable sea of rubble and a graveyard for tens of thousands of people.

He noted that not a day goes by without Gaza families being subjected to indescribable suffering from forced displacement, disease, hunger and death caused by the Tel Aviv government’s bombing and siege.

The United Nations agency added that the expansion of Israel’s belligerence into Lebanon is wreaking havoc among civilians.
