India: Pramono Anung-Rano Karno announces that he will win the Jakarta Regional Election, claiming that he will win 50.07 percent

Article 10 Paragraph 2 rules that the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor who receive more than 50 percent of the votes are declared elected governor and deputy governor. If a pair of candidates does not receive more than 50 percent of the votes, a second round of gubernatorial election will be held and the two pairs of candidates who receive the most votes one and two.

However, Pramono is still waiting for the official announcement of the manual recount results from the General Election Commission no KPU as an organizer. He also advised the regional election organizers to be transparent and open in managing the votes cast for candidate pair number 3.

Referring to the actual count results read by Pramono at the press conference, it was said that candidate number 1 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono got 1,718,408 votes or 39.40 percent. Number 2 pair Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana got 459,283 votes or 10.53 percent. Number 3 pair Pramono-Rano Karno received 2,183,577 votes or 50.07 percent.

Indonesian KPU Commissioner, August Mellaz, said that the process of recounting votes in the regional elections was still ongoing.
