Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Gideon Fernaldi managed to qualify for the round of 16 India Open 2023. Sweet results were obtained after defeating fellow representatives from Indonesia, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin.
Compete at KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi, India, Tuesday (17/1/2023) local time, Kevin/Marcus won in a rubber game with a score of 15-21, 21-17,21-10.
Kevin/Marcus actually lost in the first game. After trailing 9-11 at the interval, Kevin/Marcus couldn’t beat Leo/Daniel because they gave up 15-21.
Minions finally got up in the second game. The game score in the second game was tighter than the first game with Kevin/Marcus and Leo/Daniel able to exchange points.
Kevin/Marcus successfully closed the interval in the second game with an 11-10 advantage. After the second game interval Kevin/Marcus were able to leave Leo/Daniel with a 19-13 lead to win the second game 21-17.
At the start of the third game Kevin/Marcus were able to shoot with an 11-4 advantage. After the interval in the third game Kevin/Marcus were still able to maintain a long lead over Leo/Daniel.
Kevin/Marcus finally won the third game with a score of 21-10 and managed to qualify for the round of 16 of the India Open 2023.
