India Makes History with Shortest Test Cricket Win in Cape Town

Cape Town became the venue for the shortest test cricket. The second Test match between India and South Africa on Thursday became a new history in the history of cricket. The competition ended before the completion of five sessions over two days. India beat South Africa by seven wickets in the match and the Test ended in a draw. South Africa won the first test.

India also became the first Asian team to win a Test in Cape Town. This is the 25th time since 1882 that a Test match has ended in two days. A total of 642 balls were bowled in 107 overs. The shortest ever Test was the 1932 Test match between Australia and South Africa in Melbourne. He bowled 656 balls in 109.2 overs that day. This is the third time for the Indian team to be part of a Test match that ends in two days. India’s Test matches against Afghanistan in Bengaluru in 2018 and England in Ahmedabad in 2021 ended within two days.
