India Front Submits Petition to Election Commission Regarding Electronic Voting Machines and Demand for Ballot Paper

New Delhi – The India Front has reached a consensus on submitting a petition to the Election Commission questioning the design and operation of electronic voting machines. The resolution in this regard was approved in the meeting held on Tuesday. The petition will be submitted to the Election Commission immediately.

There are many doubts about the functioning of electronic voting machines. Experts and professionals have already pointed this out. The petition also says that there is a strong demand to bring back the ballot paper. The front also demanded that instead of the VVPAT slips received while casting their votes falling into the box itself, after handing it over to the consenting person, the said person deposits it in a specially placed ballot box.

This will help the voters to convince that the candidate who has cast their vote has received it. In the petition, the India Front also demands that the slips deposited in the box by the consenters should be fully counted.
