Suga and Min Yoongi, members of the group BTS who were accused of driving an electric scooter while drunk, sent a handwritten apology to their fan community and apologized again.
Mr. Min sent a handwritten apology to the Weverse fan community this afternoon (25th) and said, “I am deeply sorry for disappointing and hurting my fans -following and everyone who loves me because of what I did wrong.”
He said, “I made a big mistake by forgetting my responsibility to repay the love I received with actions that corresponded to it. ”
Mr.
Min’s blood alcohol level at the time was found to be 0.227%, which was higher than the license revocation limit (0.08%).
During the police investigation, Min was known to have made a statement saying “I drank a glass of beer,” and criticism arose. When the apology was posted, the electric scooter was described as an “electric board.” . ” which raised questions about whether he intended to reduce the level of punishment. He was also criticized.
In this regard, Mr. Min said, “I made a mistake by driving on the pavement on an electric scooter after drinking on the night of the 6th. the 7th.”
He also said, “I should have thought more deeply and been more careful, but I wasn’t. My carelessness makes it difficult for everyone who cares about me. I will try not to doing the wrong thing again and living with regret.”
Mr. Min said, “This incident has made a big dent in the precious memories I made with the members and fans, and it has put a damper on the name of BTS. I am sorry that the members who have always believed in me had to. go through a difficult time because of me.”
He said, “I just feel sorry for the fans who have always given me so much love despite my shortcomings. I know it’s hard to heal the hurt and disappointment my fans have experienced without words, so I regret it and I’m sorry. reflecting on it from day to day.”
Mr. Min repeated, “I will gladly accept criticism and criticism as well as express in the future. I bow my head with an apology for causing social controversy and bringing disappointment to many people.”
Mr. Min, who is currently working as a social worker, went to Yongsan Police Station yesterday afternoon (23rd) and was questioned by the police for about three hours.
Police plan to take steps to revoke Suga’s license and review whether to take action based on the details of the investigation.
