India Clinches First Gold Medal at Hangzhou Asian Games in Shooting

Hangzhou: India has started the hunt for gold in Asian Games 2023. India’s men’s athletes shot gold in the 10m air rifle, a team event in shooting. Rudraksh Patil, Aishwari Pratap Singh Tomar and Divyansh Panwar won India’s first gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

India’s gold achievement has overtaken South Korea to second place. Indian team scored 1893 points. Indian athletes shot gold with a world record. China won the bronze medal in this event.

After winning gold in the team event, Rudranksh Patil, Aishwari Pratap Singh Tomar and Divyansh Panwar qualified for the finals in the individual event. But Aishwari Pratap Singh Tomar won bronze in the individual finals.

India also won a medal in rowing today. A team of four won bronze in the men’s team event. The Indian team won the bronze by finishing in a time of 6.10.81. Currently, India has won seven medals with one gold, three each silver and bronze.
