In the last group match, India defeated Pakistan by four uncontested goals and reached the semi-finals as the group winners. India took the early lead thanks to two goals by captain Harmanpreet Singh. Jugraj Singh and Akashdeep Singh scored in the third quarter.
In the semi-finals, Malaysia finished second in the group and South Korea third.
