Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar arrived in the Philippines on Sunday for a three-day official visit during which he will hold talks with his counterpart, Teodoro L. Locsin, to review bilateral relations between the two nations.
This will be Jaishankar’s first visit to the Philippines in his role as foreign minister, local media reported.
Both ministers will review the evolution of relations between the two nations since the meeting of the Joint Bilateral Cooperation Commission that they co-chaired in virtual format in November 2020, reports Prensa Latina.
Also, the two foreign ministers will discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Jaishankar’s visit will allow him to interact with the Indian community residing in Manila.
