How’s your marathon going with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story? The miniseries that continues to expand the addictive royal story of author Julia Quinn has quickly become the most watched series on Netflix in Mexico, even surpassing Sweet Tooth, The Tailor and Pálpito. This new series also has a little secret: one of the Sex Education actresses has a crucial role in this new story.

It is spin-off from the Bridgerton universe shows us the rise to power of Queen Charlotte, who since 2020 has been made so popular by the experienced actress Golda Rosheuvel, but this time it was the turn of India Amarteifio, in charge of interpreting a young version of the same character. It was in January 2019 when Amarteifio had a participation in Sex Education as part of the seventh episode of the first season. At this moment in history, the students of Moordale School are focused on only one thing: finding a partner for the school dance.

And it was from the first scene where we meet Liam, a young man who is madly in love with Lizzie (Amarteifi), she even baked him a cake that had a question written on it: “Do you want to go to the dance with me?” A risky move and for some, ridiculous, but this does not mean that it was not a noble gesture, until -by accident- the girl’s father steps on the cake and the surprise is ruined.

In the middle of the school dance we see how Liam hung from a fake moon that was part of the stage and threatened to let go (it would have been a terrible fall), since he had not received any response from love for Lizzie. And at this moment, the young woman (who was never to blame for her lover’s decisions) was honest and said that she didn’t even know him and clearly wasn’t interested.

This tense moment ends when Otis (Asa Butterfield) saves the hormonal teenager with wise words about true love and how it doesn’t always go back, which hurts, but doesn’t mean you should let go of a fictional moon and hurt yourself.
