In its message, the Bank of Latvia states that the expected deadline for consideration of the application is December 13 of this year, unless new information is requested.
The Bank of Latvia also indicates that in the process of evaluating documents, both the Bank of Latvia and the European Central Bank may have clarifying questions about the content of the documents.
“The new INDEXO bank is almost ready. During the year, we have done important work, that is, we have created a team of professionals, developed the necessary policies and processes, and developed the bank’s product offering. We have also implemented the new bank’s technological support and, for example, we are currently testing the bank’s mobile application with “play money” in test mode. Technically, we will be ready to open the first customer accounts very soon after receiving the bank license,” says Valdis Siksnis, chairman of INDEXO’s board and one of the company’s founders.
“Cooperation with the Bank of Latvia has been extensive and the full operational readiness of the bank must be demonstrated in the licensing process. It has been useful work, which brings us closer to the actual start of operations after receiving the license,” continues V. Siksnis.
