In 2022, pension benefits were increased twice. In March, the valorisation took place as usual. However, due to the tax reform of the Polish Order, no income tax will be deducted from pensions, but only the health contribution. This means that the net amounts of current pensions will increase.
The Social Insurance Institution also revealed the amount of the largest pension in Poland. Over 25.3 thousand zlotys – this amount of money is credited to the account of a resident of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship every month. The woman has 61 years of work behind her. According to ZUS, she retired when she turned 80. According to the data of the Social Insurance Institution, her pension is 10 times higher than the average.
The conversion takes place automatically, thanks to which seniors do not have to go to ZUS offices on their own. Everything happens from the office. However, to satisfy your curiosity, you can calculate the amount of the old-age pension after indexation yourself. To calculate the value of the new benefit, you need to know the exact gross amount. This value should be multiplied by 7% (valorization index). Then the result obtained is the value of the new pension.
