Greek synchronized swimmers withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics due to positive corona virus tests, the MTI reported.
The Greek Olympic Committee announced on Tuesday that four of their competitors were also infected. One of them survived the check on Monday, three of his companions were then sent for check, and they also gave a positive test.
All four lived in the Olympic Village from the beginning but had no contact with other sportsmen.
Tokyo’s organizers said 18 new coronavirus infections were found on Tuesday, and 294 cases have been registered since July 1.
