No less than 224 days, eight months have passed since Dominik Szoboszlai signed from Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig – that was the time to introduce himself to the Leipzig as a starting eleven member and, if he had already introduced himself, to score, immediately two, of the fabulous kind.
“It’s hard to describe in words how I feel after having had to leave out for well over half a year. I had to work hard every day to get back, it wasn’t easy, but I believed it would work out. I am very happy with my performance on Saturday, the 4-0 victory against Stuttgart, ”Szoboszlai told the website.
As bundesliga.de writes, our compatriot threw himself into the game with tremendous momentum, with his well-combined comrades Emil Forsberg, Christopher Nkunku and André Silva, and almost “ran out of his socks”, chasing the opponent as much as the attack was on the agenda. His dazzling goals – the second of which required some luck – were not only applauded by the 23,100 spectators at the Red Bull Arena.
He scored two fantastic goals and I’m sure even more is expected of him because he’s an exceptional talent. He works hard every day in training, he tries to improve, and I am convinced that there are many more beautiful experiences waiting for us on the field.

Szoboszlai has played 107 minutes in the Leipzig field so far and has scored three goals during that time, which is a 36-minute average. He scored the first in the cup match against Sandhausen. This is not just any introduction from a player who had previously played on the field before mid-December while healing his injury.
Jesse Marsch, the American coach who was already mentor of Dominik in Salzburg, was not at all surprised by his protégé’s great debut.
I knew exactly what to expect from Room, the 47-year-old said. – Young football player with fantastic skills. As for his talent, he has few better players in the world for this post. Some are strong, some are technical, some are tactically trained, still others run a lot and defend well. However, Dominik showcases all of the aforementioned qualities. That’s why he’s special football.
Szoboszlai had 26 goals and 35 assists in 83 matches in Salzburg, of which only four free kicks in the last league.
