Index: Latvia has the second most competitive tax system in the OECD

By evaluating individual tax groups, Latvia ranks first in the corporate tax index, the competitiveness of consumption taxes in our country is the 26th highest among OECD member states, in the personal tax index Latvia is in 4th place, in the real estate tax index – 5th, and in the index of international tax conditions Latvia is in 9th place.

For the ninth consecutive year, Estonia was recognized as the OECD Member State with the most competitive tax system.

New Zealand has the third most competitive tax system among OECD countries, followed by Switzerland, Luxembourg, Hungary, Lithuania, Turkey and Israel.

Germany occupies the 15th place, Canada – 16th place, the USA – 22nd place, Great Britain – 26th place, Poland – 28th place and the last – 38th place – is taken by France.

Latvia joined the OECD in 2016, Estonia in 2010 and Lithuania became a member of the OECD in 2018.
