The Zámbos are still not happy that the young talent is being compared to Jimmy.
It has been 28 years since Jimmy Zámbó sang within the walls of the Catholic church in Fót Look down on me, oh God! hit, which impressive building then served as the location of his video clip. After almost three decades, another song was heard in the church. Peter Srámek filmed here Love me, God the music video of his song, during the performance of which he was overcome by a strange feeling.
A lot of feelings and memories swirled in me, it’s indescribable what I felt then. It’s like Jimmy was there too
– he revealed the singer for story.hu.
On the other hand, the paper learned that the Zámbó family is no longer so happy that there was another opportunity for the public to compare the late singer to the young talent. Although there were no harsh words or hurtful comments, Krisztián Zámbó explained what he thought about the choice of song and location at the request of a daily newspaper.
Father worked a lot to become who he became, and I only wish for Srámek to finally find himself. It would be very rude if people even put the crown on his head. But of course I understand if they like and listen to him, because I think he’s talented myself
– said Zámbó, adding: despite all this, there is no conflict, just a difference of opinion between them.
Srámek didn’t leave the Zámbós’ expression unsaid, which he previously expressed his opinion about, so he now routinely responded to the criticism: “I didn’t hear anything, but everyone shoots where they want, and I try to do my job as best as possible. And with that, I close this thought.”
