The former head of the Student Loan Center, Judit Varga’s ex-husband, said that he will make several announcements at his Saturday demonstration, and some details may also be revealed about the party with which he is preparing for the June elections. According to the latest research of the Nézőpont Institute, the future formation may pose a serious challenge to the opposition parties.
Péter Magyar a HVG360-son he revealed that the association was registered, the name of which he can reveal today or tomorrow. He confirmed to the newspaper that he would develop a three-level model:
- The core and political role would be provided by a party, which could also be supplemented by a party foundation.
- The association would exist alongside the party, in cooperation with it, which would provide a material and spiritual hinterland.
- The third layer can be a more loosely organized umbrella organization, this is the Community of Talpra Hungarians.
The model is reminiscent of the network of civic circles announced by Viktor Orbán back in 2002. When asked by the paper, Péter Magyar did not deny the similarity, but he would not use this term. By the way, Péter Márki-Zay is also trying to do the same under the name Kossuth Körök.
The paper did not find the word “talpra Hungarian” in the list of civil organizations managed by the court, but Péter Magyar indicated that the association will not be called that. Regarding the costs of Saturday’s demonstration, he said that the equipment is financed partly from his own money, partly from material donations and free services.
Regarding the association and the subsequent fundraising, Péter Magyar emphasized: they will not collect micro-donations in boxes. The 99 Movement supporting Gergely Karácsony used to collect micro-donations in boxes, according to their claim. As it turned out later, in addition to the forint, it is also in euros, we wrote more about the matter here.
