The English football team has not scored four goals at home for 94 years. The English are considered to be a very stable team at home, rarely defeating, especially not so severely. Most recently, in March 1928, the Scots beat the English to 5: 1 at Wembley, and this defeat seemed to remain the biggest domestic disgrace for the English national team. But on June 14th 4–0-sdefeat against Hungarians opened a new line three lions in his history book.
Tuesday’s match is not the first time the Hungarian national team has caused sleepless nights for the inhabitants of the archipelago. The first national defeat of the English national team from the team outside the British Isles was just against the Golden Team on November 25, 1953. Maybe they figured it out, it’s the legendary 6: 3.
Since then, neither team has been able to kick four Englishmen on British soil.

Until Tuesday night, the English national team never scored at least four goals at home without scoring a single one. Though the three lions also have a cunning history, they have been defeated by other peoples in the British Isles in the first eighty years of their history.
The Hungarian national team last defeated England in 1962 at the World Cup (2: 1). Since then, 60 years and 15 matches have passed – of which only 3 have been drawn – where the Hungarian team could not beat the English. We had to wait until June 4, 2022 for the series to be interrupted, when ours could be happy for 1–0 on the domestic track in the Puskás Arena.
The English national team has not been out on the field for almost two years, most recently in October 2020, also in the League of Nations, Denmark won 1-0. Neither goal has been scored recently, almost 12 years ago, on June 28, 2010, Germany played 4-1 with England.
Roland Sallai placed in an imposing roster against the English double.
He is the first player in the world since Ferenc Puskás and Nándor Hidegkuti to score two goals for the national team in a match on English soil.

„Puskás Öcsi“Two, the”Old”And scored three goals at Wembley in the 1953 Match of the Century. Sallai, by the way, has scored in the last four national teams in the UK.
The last time the Hungarian national team won such a foreign event was almost ten years ago: on September 7, 2012, we beat Andorra 5–0 in the World Cup qualifiers. Of today’s team, only Ádám Szalai was there in that match (he also scored), but Zsolt Laczkó, who is currently one of the assistants of the federal captain Marco Rossi, was also in the start.
