The authoritative Italian sports newspaper according to despite Real Madrid and Bayern Munich lining up for Antonio Rüdiger, the German defender would rather return to Serie A and choose the Juventus team. Rüdiger was a player for AS Roma from 2015 to 2017 and then qualified for Chelsea, where he won an FA Cup and a Champions League. The German football contract expires this summer and does not appear to be extended with the team in distress.
If all is true, Juventus would bring not only the 29-year-old German but also the Brazilian-born Italian player Jorginho from the Londoners, although Jorginho’s contract with Chelsea expires in the summer of 2023.
Chelsea was in a difficult position after the British government in early March brought severe sanctions because of the Russo-Ukrainian war: it has frozen the assets of seven Russian oligarchs, including Roman Abramovich, the owner of Chelsea. All this means that the Russian businessman is not yet able to sell Chelsea, in fact: the London club has become virtually incapacitated.
