Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held a video conference with Matteo Salvini, leader of the Italian League party, and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, vice-president of the Law and Justice (PiS) party a new European political group MTI was informed by Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief.
The meeting described as successful the declaration of 16 parties in July on the future of Europe, the protection of nation states and traditional values, which aroused great interest across the continent and to which many political organizations and parties have indicated their intention to join in recent months.
The European party families of the League and PiS, Identity and Democracy (ID) and European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) are already discussing concrete forms of future cooperation this week

The three politicians had previously met in Budapest, where they stated that Hungary, Poland and Italy are planning for the future together. According to Viktor Orbán, in addition to a clear Atlantean commitment, they stand up for freedom, the family and Christianity, saying no to censorship, the “Brussels Empire”, illegal migration and anti-Semitism.
Fidesz withdrew in March from the Group of the European People’s Party in the European Parliament and then left the Conservative party family itself. The party of Mateusz Morawiecki and Matteo Salvini do not sit in the same EP group. Polish Law and Justice (PiS) is a member of the European Conservatives and Reformists, the Italian League of Identity and Democracy.
