Typically, epidemic waves consist of an ascending branch, a short plateau, and a descending branch. It seems that we are still in the ascending branch, the number of infected people has further increased in recent days, said János Szlávik, chief infectologist of the South Pest Central Hospital. TV2 morning show.
The expert said: in March for so many cases there were several restrictions in force in Hungary, but there were not as many vaccines at that time. The number of vaccinations must also be taken into account, which is probably why the government has decided to organize a vaccination action week. This is to ensure that you do not have to impose so many restrictions, the expert said.
Asked what Christmas will be like, John Slavik said:
I don’t think anyone can say that, as this number of cases, which is now, is very serious, so it is also conceivable that the numbers will fall by Christmas.
– said the infectologist, who said that certain things should be limited, but their introduction will be determined by the daily numbers.
According to János Slavik, the extensive use of the protection card makes many people vaccinate themselves.
After all, if we restrict an unvaccinated person in their lifestyle, sooner or later they will be forced to take the vaccine in order to live in the same way as before.
– said the chief doctor, who said that it would still be better than closing entire units, hotels, restaurants than in several neighboring countries. We don’t want to achieve that, he added.
Vaccinations need time to develop protection, so for those who are now preparing to take their first vaccination, János Slavik recommends that they act as soon as possible and go to a vaccination point.
There are no late vaccinations
– highlighted by the expert, who also mentioned that the coronavirus vaccine and the influenza vaccine can be recorded at the same time, if you have been given the same vaccine as before and have not had any serious side effects. If someone has not been vaccinated, it is advisable to separate the two.
The vaccination action week – which will be between 22 November and 28 November – said it was aimed primarily at those who had not yet taken a vaccine against a coronavirus. Featured:
Where vaccination is low, the situation is catastrophic. These are quite simply facts.
János Slavik said about the oral coronavirus drug: there are two tablets that are in the third phase of research. Both appear to be effective in mild to moderate diseases at risk. THE Tablets manufactured by Pfizer preliminary studies show that it prevents 89 percent of hospitalizations and deaths in patients infected with the coronavirus. For previous drugs manufactured by MSD, this is 50 percent.
These are such excellent results that both drugs have been administered for emergency authorization. If things go well, they will even be available in Europe this year
– informed János Slavik.
