After the first round of the opposition pre-election, Péter Márki-Zay and Gergely Karácsony, who are in the third and second place in the competition for the prime ministerial candidacy, agreed on possible cooperation, after Klára Dobrev, the DK candidate, received the most votes.
Márki-Zay announced that as prime minister and deputy prime ministerial candidate they would advance to the second round with the mayor, but it had not yet been agreed which of them would be given which position.. According to the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely, in the case of a triple competition, “there is a very high risk” that Dobrev Klára may be the joint prime ministerial candidate, but he has the least chance of beating Viktor Orbán in the 2022 elections.
It is planned that in about a week it will be decided who will step back in favor of the other candidate, there is no agreement between them yet – writes the Telex.
The for the first round of pre-selectionThe results were reported by the Index in a continuous, minute-by-minute broadcast. We will soon provide detailed on-site coverage of Péter Márki-Zay’s afternoon press conference.
