Again, another piece of evidence is how far behind we are or how backwards we are compared to other countries, even our neighbors. The world is just beginning to open on the subject, a kind of wave of acceptance is starting. It’s amazing it’s not here in Hungary.
There was a graffiti at the foot of the Margaret Bridge in Buda for years:
“If you raise with prohibition, you teach to lie”
This inscription I remember was there before the regime change, it has since been deleted. It gives back so much that this current team, who wanted to replace the old system, promised to bring about a democratic change, simply turns back and forth in everything.
I agree with the original intention of the anti-pedophile law. What I disagree with is the blending of child abuse with homosexuality. I feel there is a law that is accepted by everyone; then, at the last minute, they break into something that is radically different, terribly offensive, and lacks respect for fundamental human rights in all respects. For he who is attracted to his own sex, unlike pedophiles, does not commit a crime. It is not some kind of sin, but a half-born gift that he wants in vain to change.
I have plenty of gay friends, all of which I have great respect for their courage to live in the same way. I never felt like they were a danger to either me or the minors around me. In addition, the wording (self-serving pointing, propaganda) is unmanageable, who can define a behavior at all on the basis of these. If someone is gay and self-present, when does their behavior mean propaganda or advertising? It could simply be accepted that he is so complete, instead of seeing danger in this.
All in all, I deeply sympathize with the people who want to live their warmth, who are upset and outraged by this current attempt. It would be good for pumpkins to look like the world that is just opening up and Europe in this, and not to recall the years of fear before the change of regime.
