– they write, adding that although they knew about the journalist’s health problems and were worried about him, he never complained. According to the paper’s obituary:
“He studied at the Pálné Veres High School in Budapest, graduated from the Hungarian-Russian department of ELTE, learned French excellently, and French literacy appeared regularly in his topic choices. He started working at the Youth of the World, later worked as a staff member at VNU and Sanoma and then at Central, as editor-in-chief of Beau Monde and Praktika magazines and as head of the Sanoma Media Academy; after his retirement, he regularly published in Nők Lapja Évszakok, in special issues of Nők Lapja and in the weekly magazine. He understood and felt all the ins and outs of women’s magazine production, and as a worldly person, he felt at home in almost all topics. If we needed travel material, we could confidently ask him to write, but he also followed the latest film premieres and international news as a fan of culture. He was present in the world as a curious, authentic journalist”
– they remembered him. Krisztina Balázs-Piri is mourned by her two children, as she recently lost her husband.
