Shapps stressed in a briefing to members of the House of Commons in London that the measure has so far “favored” those who received both doses of vaccine in the UK.
He added that the British government is already working to extend the measure to ease restrictions on entry to foreigners from important tourist markets, including the United States and European Union countries, “later in the summer”.
