The National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES) presented the INDES 2024 Agenda, with surprises that will mark the sports year such as the inauguration of the Jorge “El Mágico” González National Stadium with the friendly between La Selecta and Cádiz CF, the 4th edition of the Beach Soccer League, Beach Soccer, among other competitions.
“I am pleased to say that after four and a half years I can say that all 12 axes have been developed. Each of the events that we have developed and those that will be developed are part of the mission and vision of INDES, embodied in the National Sports and Recreational Development Plan 2019-2039,” said the president of INDES, Yamil Bukele.
With the 2024 Agenda, INDES intends to develop the Student Games, the Junior NBA, the Beach Soccer tournament, the 4th edition of the Beach Soccer League, the inauguration of the Jorge “El Mágico González” National Stadium between La Selecta and Cádiz CF in June, the CODICADER Games, the 4th edition of the National Football League (LNF), the Americas Winners Cup, the 3rd Edition of the Effort and Glory Gala, the Cuarto de Milla San Miguel and the Gamergy El Salvador World Tour.
During 2024, the institution intends to develop a variety of activities, including the Beach Soccer Cup 2024, on March 28, 29 and 30 at the Costa del Sol beach soccer stadium, in La Paz, and the traditional Holy Week tournament. , which will bring together the most important teams in the region.
The fourth edition of the Beach Soccer League will take place from April to September, with approximately 30 teams in the men’s and women’s categories, which will qualify for the Club World Cup in that modality.
On June 2, the Jorge “El Mágico” González National Stadium will be inaugurated, with a friendly match between the national team and the Cadista team from the Spanish league. In addition, the museum of the historic Salvadoran player will be opened.
In August the quarter-mile track in San Miguel will return, which seeks to strengthen Salvadoran motor sport in search of professionalization so that it stops being a “street” sport.
In October, El Salvador will host the “most important” student sporting event in the region, in which the champions of the seven Central American countries will compete to be the kings of the isthmus, in at least 11 disciplines for 10 days at the CODICADER 2024 .
In November, the Americas Winners Cup El Salvador 2024 will be held at the beach soccer stadium, Flor Blanca complex, in San Salvador. For the second consecutive year, the countries of the Salvadoran arena will face teams from all over the continent.
Socio-sports projects aimed at older adults will also be developed in order to promote physical activity, and also with the aim of discovering new talents. Likewise, the program, the league, values and opportunity, to promote the formation of values through football and aims to benefit more than 26,200 children.
