Lee Yeong-ho, a former philosophy professor at Hanyang University who engaged in independent philosophical research other than Western philosophy after serving a prison sentence for the “1st People’s Revolutionary Party (Inhyeokdang) Incident”, died of old age on the night of 20. 86 years.

The late was born in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do in February 1936. While attending Busan High School, he formed a group called “The Dark Field” with Lee Su-byung and Kim Geum-soo to study social science. In 1964, he was arrested and served in prison for the first Inhyeokdang incident. Among those arrested in Busan at the time, Gwangju University emeritus professor Lee Yeong-seok died last February, and former Labor, Management and Government Chairman Kim Geum-soo died last October.

The deceased worked as a lecturer at Gongju University and after he left, he sold sweet potatoes and eggs in a stall and ran a noodle factory. Later, while working as a professor in the Philosophy Department of Hanyang University, he rejected the tendency to study the philosophy of Western existentialism, Kant and Hegel, and attracted attention by studying his own philosophy.

Wrote “The World of Alienated Life and Representation”, which contains criticism of religion, “Antisemitism”, which emphasized the problems of existing idealism and materialism, “Awareness and Practice”, which contains independent views on the practice of popular life to achieve worldwide awareness, he has published a number of books, including “How to see history from a philosophical point of view” in pursuit of independent historical awareness.

After retiring from office, he cultivated cedars along the coast of Jinhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, and produced a cedar product called “Heavenly Fragrance”. Vinso was in the funeral hall of Hanmaeum Hospital in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, and the funeral was held on the morning of the 23rd.
