Niamey, August 2 (ANP)-The President of the Republic, Mohamed Bazoum reiterated his commitment to education during his message to the Nation delivered on the occasion of the celebration, on Wednesday August 3, 2022, of the 62nd independence day anniversary or arbor day.
”If I have made the education and training of young people a key commitment of my mandate, it is because I am aware of the weight of young people in our population as well as the role they can play. in the transformation of our country’s economy,” said President Mohamed Bazoum.
To this end, he recalled that “the end-of-year exams for our two cycles of secondary education have just confirmed once again that our education system is deeply ill, with success rates below 30% in We are required to act quickly with determination and intelligence.

Aware of the importance of the digital revolution, the President of the Republic said that “His government is committed to significantly improving the coverage and penetration rates of high-speed Internet”.
He announced, on the occasion, “a vast program aimed at bridging the digital divide through the connectivity of more than 2,175 villages and more than 3.5 million people living in served or underserved areas, who will have access to the over the next three years to telephony, broadband internet and digital financial services; which will benefit the social and economic sectors of the regions covered”.
According to the President of the Republic, 150 multi-service digital centers will be deployed before December 2923 to “facilitate the financial and digital inclusion of our populations through enrollment in electronic payment services as well as capacity building training programs young entrepreneurs in rural areas.
