Kozhikode: In the wake of Nipah, the district collector has announced that educational institutions in Kozhikode district will remain closed for an indefinite period.
From September 18 till further notice, all institutions including tuition centers and coaching centers in the district will shift classes to online system. The action is applicable to Anganwadis and Madrasas. The Collector’s order also states that students should not come to the institutions under any circumstances.
Meanwhile, public examinations will remain unchanged. According to the order of the Collector, steps will be taken as per the instructions from the government in this regard. The Collector’s action is under Sections 26, 30 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act.
