The Institute for Agricultural Development (INDAP), through a press release, responded to the information published yesterday in La Discusión, regarding the detection, by the Comptroller’s Office, of a sum of irregularities in the institution in Ñuble, particularly in Quirihue commune.
In the statement, the entity reported that “it is relevant to highlight that the Comptroller’s Office carried out a routine audit of all the area agencies of the Ñuble Regional Directorate, which covers the period from January 1, 2020 to December 2021, corresponding to the Government former”.
They also specified that “Indap reiterates that it safeguards probity, transparency and legal frameworks in the execution of the institution’s programs. Therefore, the regional director(s) of Ñuble ordered an administrative summary to determine the possible responsibilities of the case and the pending records will be sent to the Comptroller General of the Republic.
Indap added that in addition, “in the interest of providing maximum support to the investigation, the head of the Indap Quirihue area, José Pedro Hadi, has made his position available. In this context, it is reported that, as of today (yesterday) May 26, 2023, the official Álex Irribarra assumes the leadership of the Indap Quirihue area.

The inspection, which proved various irregularities that involve close to $900 million, in total, had the purpose of carrying out an audit and examination of accounts of the transfers and rendering of the resources assigned to the system for the agro-environmental sustainability of agricultural soils, to the Program of Development of Local Action and the credits granted to the users available to the Indap Quirihue, whose area manager is the engineer José Pedro Hadi.
In turn, a review of the bank reconciliations as of October 31, 2022 was carried out and audited on the ground during the months of March, May, June and December 2022, allowing information on the implementation and execution of the incentives and credits granted to be obtained. by Indap.
