IND VS AUS 3rd T20I: Glenn Maxwell ‘wonderful’ innings again; Aussies win after a huge score

Guwahati: Glenn Maxwell once again did wonders with the bat and Australia won the match chasing a huge score. With this, the series of 5 matches was 2-1. Australia came out with a huge target of 223 runs and got the victory in the last ball. Maxwell’s super innings was with eight sixes and eight fours.

Glenn Maxwell who remained unbeaten on 108 runs off 48 balls and captain Matthew Wade who remained unbeaten on 18 runs off 16 balls were the architects of the victory. 21 runs were required in the last over bowled by Prasid Krishna. Two runs off the last ball.

After scoring just 22 runs off the first 22 balls, Gaekwad went on to score 101 runs off the 35 balls he faced. Gaikwad’s super innings consists of 7 sixes and 13 fours. Gaekwad completed his maiden century in international Twenty20 by smashing Maxwell for a six in the first ball of the last over. Including this, 30 runs were scored in the last over.

Australian captain Matthew Wade won the toss and sent India into bat.
