Kühbauer: “First half was fear football”

Rapid’s Achilles’ heel was again the standard, as in the duel against Salzburg. “It really does matter to me to talk about it now. For me it was more important that the team showed a reaction after the break, that we were rewarded. That is the decisive factor when there are so few games left.”
The response was a good one, as the end result shows. “The second half meant that we did what we wanted to do from the start. We let the ball go, we had a lot more movement around the ball, we also looked for depth, we worked through combinations Storm was mentally and physically not up to scratch and we took advantage of it, “said Kühbauer.
Gold scorer Kara: “I’m coming in slowly”
So it was Joker Ercan Kara who made the rapid comeback perfect in the 90th minute. “I did my job, I came in. I gave and met everything, a nice day,” Kara says happily.
The 24-year-old center forward also scored a goal in the previous Bundesliga game against Salzburg. Kara seems to have slowly arrived in Hütteldorf. “It’s going a bit. It’s good for me. I’m coming in slowly. It makes me happy that I can help my team with it.”
