On June 16 and 17, Charlotte de Mello, dance teacher and choreographer, and Franck Bigerel, also a teacher at the MJC Jarville Jeunes, concocted a superb dance travel project, from Paris the city of light to New York, the city that never sleeps. Equipped with a very fine travel guide program, the spectators who came in large numbers were able to appreciate the talents of these budding artists from the age of 6 and of these confirmed amateurs up to the age of 60. Started on the Champs-Élysées, nearly 140 dancers performed in groups, in ballet or solo, from classical to jazz, via hip-hop, with Franck’s group. In order to allow a maximum of people to attend the show, the two professors proposed two successive evenings.
