The Electricity Corporation of Lebanon announced, in a statement, that it will raise the power supply to 4 hours per day, starting next Friday morning.

And she indicated that, “in view of the deliberations and decisions issued by the Ministerial Committee formed under Clause No. 2 of Cabinet Resolution No. 3 of 01/18/2023, and after the six Key Success Factors established in the EDL plan for the first phase have been achieved, Especially after all the concerned authorities, including the Ministries of Interior and Municipalities, National Defense and Justice, confirmed their commitment to it, they will, within the second phase, gradually raise their thermal production on Friday morning 02/10/2023 to about //450// megawatts, which will raise the power supply With electric current for up to 4 hours per day, in parallel with the launch of campaigns to remove encroachments on 216 outlets as the first level out of 800 distribution outlets according to the plan, which is equivalent to 27% of the total of those outlets. And this is after the commitment of the concerned authorities to ensure the accompaniment and support of the security forces, the Lebanese army and the public prosecutions on all Lebanese lands.

And it stated that it will start printing invoices according to the new tariff, so that the collection of those issues concerned will start at the end of next week, pointing out that several key performance indicators have been set, the most important of which is related to removing infringements and collection, to be evaluated and determine whether to move to the next stage. Third, in the light of this assessment, so that during the third phase, the thermal production capacity will be raised again to about // 585// megawatts, i.e. within the limits of // 5 // hours of feeding per day on all Lebanese territory.

And she called on all citizens to respond to the plan drawn up, especially in terms of not drawing electricity from the electrical network illegally, because of the positive effects of that plan on them, explaining that it will keep the public opinion aware of any developments that occur regarding the implementation of the stages of the plan to raise nutrition through later data.
