Increasing Pet Vaccinations in San Salvador: Campaign Aims to Surpass 115,000 Doses in 2022

They hope to increase the 115 thousand doses applied in San Salvador, in 2022.

To the 115,000 doses of rabies immunizing serum that were applied to pets in the city in 2022, the capital city expects to increase vaccinations by 10 or 15% this year. To this end, this week progress is being made in the placement of doses in the San Francisco de Álava, Alberdi and Los Huaicos neighborhoods.

This was stated by Gastón Millón, Secretary of Government, who stated that “in principle, vaccination was being carried out in municipal buildings, in the Model Center, in the ‘9 de Julio’ building and in the Alto Comedero Delegation, but now We are going directly to the neighborhoods”.

He stressed that “vaccination is totally free. So we ask all residents to be responsible, and to vaccinate their pets, which is part of responsible ownership.”

Finally, he assured that the campaign will reach all the neighborhoods of the city.
