On Sunday, May 29th, the time has come: The Frankfurt rounds powered by Mainova will take place for the second time
The special running event on what is probably the most beautiful route in Germany hits the mark with Frankfurt’s running community. The number of registrations has more than doubled this year. “Almost 600 participants have already registered. The big growth compared to the previous year shows us that there is room in Frankfurt for sporting events like the Frankfurter Runde powered by Mainova. We are all the happier to support popular sport even more with our event and to be able to offer all those interested in running a platform that meets their needs,” says Björn Steinmetz, the organizer of the event, about a week before the event.
The two main sponsors of the event, the city of Frankfurt and the title sponsor Mainova, are also delighted with the great popularity of the upcoming sporting event. “The countdown is running! Our latest running event already has the chance to become a real sports classic. The unique route directly on the Main also contributes to this. The growing popularity of the number of registrations proves that with the Frankfurt rounds there is now an offer that is met with lively demand from the runners. The event strengthens mass sport and thus our position as a sports city in Frankfurt,” says Sports Department Mike Josef.
“We move our hometown of Frankfurt with our energy. We are also involved in top-class and popular sports. Because we are convinced of the power of movement and therefore support active experiences. We look forward to going on the Frankfurt tour with the energetic community in about a week’s time,” says Ferdinand Huhle, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Mainova. The energy supplier has been a partner from the very beginning and, with the Mainova Energie Academy, supports those interested in running all year round with training, coaching or starting places.
Unlike many other running events, the length of the course for the Frankfurt rounds powered by Mainova can be individually selected by the runners during the race. The 10-kilometer circular course along the idyllic banks of the Main offers the ideal opportunity to run one, two, three or even four laps spontaneously, i.e. distances between 10 and 40 kilometers.
Late registrations for the race on May 29th are still possible when the starting documents are handed out on May 28th and 29th.
