“Diet is a known and modifiable factor that contributes to the development of type 2 diabetes. It is therefore important to understand which dietary factors may influence the increasing incidence of the disease,” explains one of the researchers. Incidentally, women have a slightly higher risk of diabetes when eating eggs than men, but according to the scientists this is an increased risk of an average of about 60 percent in adults.
